Shopping in North Sealand is wonderful. Submit to the temptation of original, distinctive goods on sale in specialist shops in the market towns – or come inside the big, well-lit shopping centres.

The Castle Arcades in Hillerød

Hillerød’s Castle Arcades (Slotsarkaderne), with 60 shops, present a strong fashion profile and represent some of North Sealand’s largest shops specialising in beauty, home and furnishings, food, wine, sports clothing and equipment, etc.
Slotsarkaderne are worthy of a visit for their own sake – not least because of their architecture. The large shopping centre, with its entrance on the pedestrian street, is in the very heart of Hillerød within walking distance of Frederiksborg Castle.

Helsingør City

In Helsingør City (Elsinore) you will find all of 250 specialist and grocery shops with a large selection of exciting and original goods, with plenty of scope for many hours of shopping. The shops are situated in Helsingør’s historic town centre, charged with atmosphere – and when you need a break you’ll have no difficulty finding a cosy café or restaurant, many of which are in beautifully set old buildings with attractive back yards.

Situated at the end of Stengade, the centre (Helsingør Bycenter) has 33 specialist shops and a supermarket. In addition to a comprehensive offering of goods you will always find activities for children and adults. The centre’s underground car park has 550 charge-free spaces.

Espergærde Centret – Denmark’s first ever shopping centre with 39 specialist shops and three large supermarkets.

Frederiksværk is a cozy shopping city with a lot of free parking spaces. You have a large selection of shops that can match the bigger towns.

Helsinge town

Helsinge is a bustling, pleasant and dynamic town with almost 2000 charge-free parking spaces ready for you to visit one of the town’s many supermarkets or its specialist shops.
During the summer, there is frequently live music on the town’s streets and squares. You will always be able to find a quiet spot in the park near the old village pond.

The Kronborg Galleries in Helsingør

The Kronborg Galleries are creative spaces open to the public. Come and see artists, designers and craftsmen at work. The galleries are combined workshops and boutiques selling glass, pottery, jewellery, clothing, etc.

Prøvestenscentret

Prøvestenscentret is on the main approach road in the outskirts of Helsingør. It welcomes you a multitude of exciting shops, a DIY store, supermarkets, a post office, pharmacy and a pizzeria.

The Louisiana Museum Shop

The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is one of Denmark’s leading design shops with the main emphasis on Danish and Scandinavian design. It is also a large, well assorted bookshop where you can buy exhibition catalogues and posters as well as books on 20th and 21st century international art, design and architecture.


 

Hundested Shopping

In Hundested you find shops for every taste. There are a lot of convenience shops and a lot of art shops, which a lot of them are situated at the harbour in Hundested. All over the city you find free parking spaces.
